▪️ Bharatmala Pariyojana: Envisages new initiatives like development of border and
international connectivity roads, coastal & port connectivity roads.
▪️Upgrade roads in the North-Eastern region to connect all district headquarters.
▪️Road Requirement Plan -Development of national and state highways in remote districts of Central/Eastern India.
▪️New Hybrid Annuity Model: Government contributes 40% of a project cost in the first 5 years, while private covers 60%.
▪️100% FDI is permitted to facilitate private funding.
▪️National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd.: speeds up road construction in strategic areas along the border and the North-Eastern region.
